Judd is employed as a Detective Sergeant with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Department.  He has been employed with the Sault Ste. Marie P.D. for 17 years. Judd has been a member of the Fraternal Order of Police since he became involved in law enforcement and has been active in both local and state levels.  He is a member of Sault Ste. Marie Lodge #115 serving as President for three consecutive years.  He previously served as District 7 Trustee, State Lodge Sergeant-At-Arms, State Lodge Treasurer and State Lodge Secretary prior to his election to State Lodge President.

Kurt has been a police officer for 30 years, currently a Detective/Sergeant with Owosso Police Dept.  He is a member of the Shiawassee Valley Lodge #137 and has held virtually every position at one time or another with that lodge.  At the State level, Kurt has served as 6th District Trustee and 2nd Vice-President prior to being elected State Vice-President.

John P Sadowski has been in Law Enforcement for 20 years. Currently he is a Patrol Sergeant with the Saginaw Twp Police Department.  He is an active member of his Saginaw Lodge #105 since 1990, and serving as the Treasurer from 1994-2007.  John served as the State Lodge Sgt at Arms and 2nd Vice President, before being elected to the State Lodge Secretary.

Harold West has been an active law enforcement officer for the past 30 years. Currently he is a detective with Kalamazoo Public Safety. During his career, he has served in a variety of assignments including Neighborhood Liaison Officer, street patrol, and narcotics investigation. He has been a member of Greater Kalamazoo Lodge #98 for the past 27 years. During the last 11 years, he has held a variety of offices with his lodge including Trustee, Sergeant at Arms, 2nd Vice President, Vice President, and President.  This is Harold's first year as Treasurer of the State Lodge.

Pat Lemke is a Patrolman for the city of Ferndale, he has been with the Department for 12 years.  Pat is a second generation FOP Member. (Ted Lemke is also a Member for Lodge 130).  Pat has been the President of the South Oakland Lodge #130 since 2005, he was the District 11 Trustee and State Lodge Sgt -at-Arms. He also sits as a Committee Member for the Grand Lodge Recruitment and Retention Committee.  Pat is Married to his wife Marcie and they have two children.


 

Lynsey Zoss, Sergeant-At-Arms

Lynsey Zoss is a corrections officer for the Calhoun County Office of the Sheriff, she has been an FOP member since 1998.  She is currently her local lodge secretary ( Wayne B. Fitch Lodge #138) and she has held the position for the past 8 years.  Prior to becoming State Sgt. at Arms, Lynsey served as District 2 Trustee for 5 years.  Lynsey lives in Marshall and has two children.

Paul has been an FOP Member since 1968.  He was hired by the Grand Rapids Police Department in 1967 and retired from them in 1998. He is a member of the Grand Rapids Lodge #97 which he held positions as inner- guard, Chaplin, Vice President and President. Paul has been State District 5 Trustee and Trustee Chairman since 1998.

Kevin Sommers, National Trustee

Kevin is a Lieutenant with the City of Warren Police Department.  He has served with the Warren P.D. for 24 years.  He has been a member of the Fraternal Order of Police since 1983 at Christopher M. Wouters Lodge #124.  Kevin served four terms as the President of Lodge #124 from 1991-1994.  He was the first son of a former President to be elected to that position.  His father Art served in that capacity in 1964.  Kevin also served as Vice-President from 1988-1989, Secretary from 1989-1991 and as a Guard from 1987-1988. 

Kevin has served on the State Board since 1993.  Kevin served six terms as State President from 1999-2005.  He also served as State Vice-President from 1997-1999, State Secretary from 1995-1997, State Treasurer from 1994-1995 and State Guard from 1993-1994. 

Kevin currently holds the position of National Trustee which he was elected to at this past National Conference in New Orleans in 2005.

Kevin currently serves as the Chairman of the National Safety and Technology Committee.  He has served on that committee since 1999.  Kevin was also appointed by President George W. Bush to the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH).

Dave is currently Chief-of-Police with the Grosse Pointe Park Department of Public Safety and has been employed with them for over 30 years. 

Dave has been a member of the Grosse Pointe Lodge #102 since 1972.  He has extensive history at all levels of the Fraternal Order of Police locally, statewide and nationally. Dave served as the President of Lodge #102 for 6 years.  He also served as the State President for 2 years, State Secretary for 2 years, District #4 Trustee for 2 years and the National Trustee for 10 years prior to being elected NATIONAL VICE PRESIDENT at this year's National Conference held in New Orleans.

Pam has been an FOP Member sense 1994.  She is currently an Corrections Officer for the Calhoun County Sheriffs Department. She is her Local Lodge #138 (Wayne B. Fitch) Treasurer. She has held that position for the past 10 years. Her and her husband Rick live in Battle Creek and are both very active members in their lodge.  They are very involved with the Local Area 19 Special Olympics Group.  They have worked both the Winter and Summer Games Special Olympics are very important to them.

JEFFERY MANOR, CHESTERFIELD TWP.

Jeff has been an FOP Member of the Grosse Pointe Lodge #102 for the past 36 years.  He has retired from the Harper Woods Police Department and spent his last 11 years with them as Detective Lieutenant and was also the Trustee.  Jeff has been the Vice President and President for his Local Lodge #102. He was a Committee Member for the past 3 years for the State Essay Contest" Why do you say no to drugs and alcohol".  Currently Jeff is the Grosse Pointe Lodge COP Fund Chairman and this is his third year as the State Lodge District 4 Trustee.  He is also a Committee Member for the State Ways and Means and State Compliance.

FRED BROWN, SAULT STE. MARIE

Fred is a Police Constable with Sault Ste Marie Police Services for 16 years and presently working in Patrol Services.  Fred has served as President and Vice President of Lodge #115, and has been the District 7 Trustee for three years.  Fred has been married to Yvette for 18 years and they have two teenage daughters Natalie and Crystal.

Ron retired from the Flint Police Department with 28 years of service. He retired as a Sergeant and has been a member for 40 years. He began serving as a lodge officer in 1975 and have held numerous positions. He served as President for 13 years and is currently Lodge Treasurer. He has been married to his wife Jan for 39 years.

JOHN MARASCO, WESTLAND

John started his career in Law Enforcement in 1994.  He has been a Patrol Officer with the Walled Lake & Wolverine Lake Police Department for 7 years; prior to that he was with the Highland Park Public Safety Department.  John has been an FOP member since 2003.  John is currently the President of his Lodge #128 and has held several local lodge positions before being elected as President.  John is married to Judy and they have two children.

John Buczek came aboard in May 1999.  A native of Bay City, Buczek joined the Bay City Police Department in 1976 as a patrolman and has worked as an undercover narcotics detective, a community police officer and patrol supervisor.  He recently retired as a uniform lieutenant and shift commander with 23 years of service.  He has been a member of the Fraternal Order of Police since 1976, serving on the local level for over ten years before being elected to the state board.  He has served as a state officer for nine years; the last two as president.
