Randy Mason has been an FOP member for 40 years ever since he joined the Kalamazoo Police Department ( now the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety) in January 1970 as a Patrolman. In 1978 Randy was promoted to Detective and maintained that classification until retirement in January 1995.
During his Police career he served for 20 of his 25 years on the bargaining team and the last 10 years as President. Randy served in about every elected office, including President of his local FOP and the State FOP.
After retirement Randy did consulting for area labor groups and received training and licensing in the insurance and investment industry. He worked in this arena for several years until he was hired to be Director of Labor Services for the Michigan Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council in 2003.
Randy has attended numerous seminars and symposiums on all aspects of labor. He has taught Police labor negotiations and grievance resolution at the State and National level.. He is also honored to serve on the National FOP Labor Committee.

David received his BA, MA, EdS degree from Michigan State University and he also attended Grand Rapids Community College Police Academy. David retired from the Muskegon Heights Police Department which he served as patrolman, community officer and a union steward. He was also a former Corrections Officer, Teacher and a School Administrator. He has experience in contract negotiation and grievance experience from both sides of the table. David is currently the Treasurer of his local Lodge #99 Charles D. Hammond in Muskegon he has been an FOP member since Dec 2000.

Len is a former police officer with the Taylor P.D. with over 27 years of experience. During his years with the Taylor P.D. he served as a police supervisor, union president and served the Downriver Crisis Negotiation Team. He is a certified hostage negotiator, a licensed/bonded private investigator and has acquired many years of education and experience in the law enforcement field. Len also has experience in handling contracts, grievances and 312 Arbitration. He has been a member of the Taylor FOP Lodge since 1984.

VEMA PROGRAM
This plan allows members to plan for retirement medical costs.
457 PLAN
Allows members the opportunity to participate in their own F.O.P. sponsored plan. The plan could be customized to offer up to 50 funds (out of 4,000 funds from over 350 fund families). Fidelity investments is the largest mutual fund company in the nation and will provide excellent investment options for out membership. PPS&V, a Michigan based investment firm, will handle the service and professional expertise for our plan. They have over twenty years of experience in providing retirement plan service to law enforcement groups in Michigan.
